Alarm Systems – Why They Aren’t Just For Lived-in Homes

Home/Alarm Blog/Alarm Systems – Why They Aren’t Just For Lived-in Homes

Most of South Florida’s housing communities have model homes that are decorated and ready to be sold. They usually have staged furniture, appliances, artwork, or more valuables in the home to make it appear lived in and cozy. But is it protected the same way a lived-in home is? Without people living there yet, the home may be more vulnerable to break ins and theft.

The same goes for houses and buildings still under construction.- when you are in the process of construction, an alarm should not be an afterthought. You may have valuable materials sitting on the construction site: copper pipes, expensive wiring, new tile, etc. If your only defense against theft is a fence, you are likely more at risk. Construction sites should have an alarm or camera system to survey the area for protection. Call Simon at (561) 488-7022 and talk to your property manager about a solution.

According to the National Equipment Register’s Annual Theft Report, Miami-Dade county is 2nd in the top ten counties for equipment theft, and Florida being 3rd out of all states.
